The Helmet

In the long gap between now and my last post I have had a fleeting glimpse of fame. Yes a simple idiot like me was able to get some nationwide fame as I got camera time on ESPN during the OU Texas basketball game on the 12th of January. There I was complete with face paint and an old toy helmet to be seen nation wide. Because my phone was in the process of dying I wasn't sure if it was real big till I finally got it to turn back on and there was twenty to thirty text messages ranging from the simple "holy crap I saw you on ESPN" to the "you look like a dumbass with that helmet", but ahh the recognition felt damn good. Add in the fact that I got more text messages in the span of three hours then I usually get in a two weeks, it was greatness.
But now that I come down from my fame high I know realize that I have some pressure, here I am only a freshman at OU and I already have been seen on Big Monday and Sports Center, can I continue the run? I am not use to being cool so could this make me *gasp* popular around campus?
Ok maybe I haven't come down from my Helmet/fame high just yet since I am still thinking that looking goofy on national TV can be parlayed into being one of the cool guys on campus.

Now to the real meat of this subject, will I at some point finally reach that level of fame where female compaionship could be a possible benefit?

Now it is really doubtful but hear me out, since I am only a freshman I have a three and half basketball seasons left of helmet wearing. With my mindless devotion to all things Sooner basketball I will continue to be somewhere close to the court and wearing the helmet.
Maybe the helmet can become iconic or something and get me some local pub.
Then we have two scenarios with the ladies at that point.
First we could find some girl who is kinky and is mentally impaired by alcohol or some other drug. Since she is kinky maybe she wants to be fucked by "local legend" while I am wearing the helmet.

I know, I know a crazy long shot and I should be put in a padded room for even thinking of it but, hell can't I dream?

The second one is a little more conventional as it could be used as a simple "ice breaker" or conversation starter and lead to a possible relationship.

I know, I know crazy long shots that aren't even believable in the wildest fantasy novel but I like to dream a little.

My next chance to so case the helmet and build up the legend is this Wednesday when the Oklahoma Sooners basketball team takes on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. It should be a blow out but with my mindless devotion to all things OU basketball I will be there front row, two hours earlier getting ready and excited like it was the national championship. So I will be holding up my end of the bargin on the crazed local legend dream by rocking the helmet like I own it. Now just to get some crazy luck in that regard and you never know how far I can go.

One final thing, get a life.

Hmm, I'm back

In case for some god awful reason you read my first entry and for another even more god awful reason have been waiting around for number two, here you go.

Lets do a quick recap of what is going on right now.

1st It's 4:12 in the morning and I should be sleeping
2nd I am witting this stupid thing instead of finishing my rough draft of my English paper due in just over five hours
3rd Despite having five different classes so far this week I have not made it to a single one of them (but I have picked up OU-Maine basketball fliers and covered Dale Hale with them)
4th Almost two months since I "started" this thing and I still have no life. (Yeah attention whoring in full blown mode)

Quick recap of my life in those two months.
Still a lazy mofo in regards to school work but not Sooner Basketball
Had a chance to get laid by drunk whores but ran away like a scared little boy
Had a chance to date a chick a little over three years older then me, who looks halfway decent but decided not to.
Still do not have the balls to talk to these hot freshman twins even though I once played basketball with them. I had the ball stolen by one of them and one of them helped me up when I fell. I also somehow hit two transition three pointers in that game, from college range (hey I am shooting better then Tony Crocker is right now, jk you rule Tony).
And I should have a GPA above a 2.0 this sesmester so I am doing better then both my older half-brothers did in college.
Still watch too much sports, post too much on a meaningless internet message board, and play too much video games



Hmm same old shit and with the holiday approaching I will have more time to be a lazy bum so I might update this for nobody to read. Also I could have pictures of my upcoming epic trip to Miami for the College Football BCS "National Title Game".

First one

My first blog, what to talk about?
I am talking out of my ass so lets get this started.

First topic, college life
Sure seems like it is overrated. I find myself having a similar situation I was in high school with the only positive is I have the freedom to stay up late without getting bitched at for it. I think i need to step outside my bubble sometime soon. Oh well we will see.

Umm I got nothing I just wanted to have a post on this blog thing.

Except a post about flag football later on.
